This is a field recording taken in a suburban location in the city of cincinnati just over ten minutes in length. Gear: zoom h6, xyh-6 x/y capsule (120 degree stereo image), rycote windjammer, mounted on a tripod. Please feel free to leave feedback and ratings. I got caught in a freak rainstorm whilst hiking a bit ago, but luckily had packed my h6 in my bag and was able to get some good little rain snippets! there's some super close sounding droplets hitting leaves, some wider pouring rain, and a bit of hand-held noise unfortunately, but i figured there's a little something for everyone here!. Recorded on zoom h6n with xy 120 degree pair.

Sound / noise from the electromagnetic frequencies of a wifi modem / router while streaming music on youtube. There seems to be a lot of radiation and interference from the device. Recorded with a micbooster electromagnetic pick-up into a zoom h6.

Coming hair: you can hear the typical crunch of tangled hair being combed out. You can hear the hairbrush gliding through the hair. It varies in tempo and rhythm to add realism to this sound. As she struggles with the knots it is slow but picks up tempo as her hair becomes less tangled. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg in a recording studio. Great for any make-over montage or scene.

Recorded on an early march morning at a ranch in the rocky mountains of colorado with a zoom h2 using the internal mics. A group of about twenty sled dogs greet a visitor enthusiastically. The higher barks and yips are the siberian huskies and the lower howls and moans are the alaskan malamutes. The dogs were excited and getting ready for a sled ride, their favorite activity (after eating).

This is the sound of an inland vessel on river rhine, near mannheim, germany. You can hear the rhythmic and fluctuating vibrations of the diesel engine. Seems to be an older one. Unfortunately i oriented my zoom h2n wrongly (90° to the right). So most of the noise appears on the left ear.

It's a sound of a polish carrefour crowded supermarket (złote tarasy, warsaw, poland). There are ventilation fans audible, people's footsteps, cash registers beeping, shopping baskets, unified queue automated director speaking "kasa numer 6, kasa numer 10" etc. Recorded with zoom h2.

Men outside my window using a chainsaw to cut branches from an old tree in a city neighborhood. Recorded with zoom h5 internal xy mic.

Pills being taken out of a metal wrapper: a very distinct metallic sound can be heard. It is sharp and high-pitched. You can hear a pop when the pill is being taking out of it's housing. Great to create tension in a scene. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg.

Rooster cock-a-doodle-dooing: there is no sound like it. A very loud and sharp effect of a rooster doing what it does best. Different versions are available in this track containing different amplitudes and tone. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg on a farm. This is great to use for a natural alarm or to fill out fram-ambiences.

Sound of a harddrive spinning up and down recorded with an inductor coil attached to my zoom h1n. Could be used for spaceship sounds, electronic device charging up sounds, etc.

Crazy computer sounding. . Use it however you like. Created by recording my heater for my room turn on with my "zoom h1n" put into ableton added with a simpler tuned to c and played at really really high pitches randomly.
